"Lost Illusion is the undisclosed title of every novel." ~Andre Maurois
Actually, I'm not the one having title troubles - it's one of my writing friends. She's working on a romantic suspense that's set in a casino...and she can't think of anything to call it besides "The Casino Story."
I always think it's easier to brainstorm and get excited about a book if you have a kick-a** title. So...I'm asking for some brainstorming help from you all today. I've been trying to think of some good titles for her, and I've been going off the casino theme. This is what I've come up with so far, but I'd love some other suggestions. If you're feeling creative today, leave me (and her!) some ideas in the comments, would you?
Allie's Title Ideas:
Playing the Odds
Winner Take All
Beating the Odds
All In
Hearts All In
Hearts are Wild
Where the Chips Fall
Gambling Hearts
Betting Hearts
What do you think??

Hmmm....titles drive me crazy, too. Especially when you choose one and then they ask you to change it. Okay, how about:
Know When to Hold Them (from "The Gambler")
Placing Bets
Snake Eyes
Roulette
Sin City Nights
Dealing Hearts
Betting on the Strip
Strip Bets
Stripped (how racy is the book?)
Playing the Odds
Okay, I need another cup of coffee now. I hope I didn't repeat any of yours,Allie. My memory? Not so good!
Wild Card
Beating the House
Suicide King
Queen of Hearts
Seven Card Stud
Dead Man's Hand
Dealer's Choice
Drawing Dead
Inside Straight
In the Money
I hate thinking up titles, lol...
Royal Flush
Hands Down
The House Wins
The Heart Wins
Killer Hand
It Stays Here
The only one that popped into my head was:
"Love Deals from the Bottom"
It is hard to know if it workds without really knowing the story. I hope it helps, though.
Here are a few ideas from me: Casino Royale, Game of Chance, Nuances of the Dice, High Stakes and Man is a Gaming Animal! Thanks, Cindi
