In the meantime, check out this video about the different treatment a "sexy" girl vs. a "plain" girl gets. I've seen the same thing with a fat vs. skinny woman, but it's always sort of a jolt to realize how much looks matter in the world. Still.

Hey, this is cool: yesterday at work a fellow teacher greeted me and said, "Why can't I buy One Night in Memphis in print yet? I can't wait until next May!"

And a former student emailed me to ask about college/grad school advice and said, "I just wanted to say I finished One Night in Boston and loved it. I even cried at the end!!!!"

I experienced the same treatment, except it was "youth vs.Senior Citizen.
I was in Key West with my daughter and we entered a gourmet food shop. My daughter was immediately offered a sample food. I stood next to her and was ignored, like I didn't exist!

Yes it is. It's just like when someone says "It's not about the money" - it is absolutely about the money.
I find reviews/compliments from friends about ones work is the best form possible.
Looks do matter. My son had Abercrombie and Fitch representatives walking around his college campus. They were searching for students to work at their store. Of course, they approached the better looking male and female students. Cindi
