To Get in the Mood...

OK, on this sleety and cold Monday morning, here's an old classic holiday favorite from "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" - come on, you know you want to sing along!

I still can't believe Christmas is only 15 days away. I'm defintely behind on my, well, on my everything. I just got the house decorated this weekend. I ordered my Christmas cards and are hoping they'll arrive sometime before, I don't know, like the 20th. I'm about half-done with my shopping but haven't even started buying for my husband and don't have an idea what to get him this year. Haven't bought any wrapping paper or ribbon. Haven't gotten a tree. Have almost forgotten that my own birthday is coming up this weekend.

Hmm...how on earth do you find time to do it all???

Before I forget to mention it,, The Long and the Short of It is running a "Best Romance of 2007" contest on their site. Want to enter a great romance you read this year? Email them and enter your nomination! And hey, if you feel like One Night in Boston or Lost in Paradise should be in the running, then all it takes is a single email...

Hi and happy birthday early (just in case ;-)) I know what you mean about being behind. I finally got the house decorated, but still have boxes sitting around. The tree... not here. Christmas cards... not bought. Shopping...barely started. I've done Bob's (but only because he found something on EBay he really wanted and said.. buy this for me for Christmas). Sigh... I am so far behind it will be March before I get caught up. And, let's not start on the editing or the writing!!!

Thanks for the plug about the nominations :-)

We just decorated the tree last night. Amanda was relieved. Each year she wants to get the tree done early and presents under it. I'm not done with Christmas shopping and have to do cards yet. Good luck with figuring out what to get your husband. I'm having the same problem.

I am still treeless in Vienna. I have seen a still bundled up heap of them today. Yet no one's selling them. Viennese don't put up the Christmas tree in theirs home til the afternoon of December 24th (I wonder if the go christmas presents shopping on that morning *g*).

I got miles of red wrapping paper and beautiful multicolored ribbons at Ikea some time ago. Miss the American Christmas cards terribly, can't find anything I like here.

Good luck with your Christmas preparations!

don't hate me, but I'm done. The only thing I may need to do is buy one more gift and I want to bake cookies so that I get that aroma in my place.

Happy birthday this weekend. A busy time of the year to have a birthday as you well know.
I'm almost done baking and shopping.
