And in completely other, unrelated news, I have not one but two trips to (different) vets with my two cats today...not looking forward to it. They're always so traumatized by the experience. Anyone have any advice, besides heavy drugging? (Just kidding...sort of...)

Hi Allie! I'm so jealous you have cats. I am such a cat person but one of our dogs tries to kill any small animal in his path and until we can break him of that bad habit I have to remain catless. The only adivce I can give you is to place them inside a pillow case and lower them into the carrier if they have claws...this also keeps them from bracing agains the opening. Of course, you have to do this quickly because cats aren't fond of being in pillowcases either!
