Ah, Saturday...

"I've been thinking Hobbes --"
"On a weekend?"
"Well, it wasn't on purpose..."
~Calvin and Hobbes

What I'm doing today: Meeting some girlfriends from my writers' group at Borders to chat and swap pages. Hooray!

What I'm reading today: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer - Anyone else know this one? It's YA vampire romance, and the teenage girls in my class have been RAVING about this series (there are 3 books out, the 4th due this summer). I finally decided I should see what all the hype is about.

What I'm writing today: Probably figuring out what to use as an excerpt for One Night in Memphis. I know that's going to be the next thing my editor asks me for, so...

What about you??

Twilight!!! I just ordered the first one. My former student e-mailed me and said I'd love it. Can't wait to read!

I LOVED "Twilight"... then, couldn't get through the second one ("New Moon"). OTOH, I understand that "Eclipse" is awesome, so I might try again someday.

Surprisingly (not!), I'm working on the website.

I have not yet caved and read Twilight, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Yay on page exchange...the thing I miss most about a CP/CG.

I'm on book 2 of the Enchanted, Inc, series by Shanna Swendson. I have writing to do, contest stuff to coordiinate, &c, &c, but mostly today, I'm just being a slug. Maybe tomorrow.

Good luck finding that excerpt. Tough little booger, isn't it?
